What does a local car inspection cost – in Ghent, Brussels or Amsterdam?
asked by Pieter on
One car is in Amsterdam, another in Ghent. Does the price depend on the city, and how do I check it?

The base price is the same: €278.30 incl. VAT for the Full inspection. Only travel changes – counted by road from Antwerp, in both directions. 30 km is included, or 50 km when the car is 150 km or more from Antwerp one way. Beyond that it's €0.57 per km incl. VAT.
Ghent therefore comes out cheaper than Amsterdam simply because it's closer. Your own figure appears once you enter the country and postcode.
Check it on the inspection page or the pricing page. For example, a car 45 km away one way comes to €312.42 incl. VAT with the inspection.
