• You are buying from a listing in another country and will not drive 900 km to see a car you might not buy.
• You don't speak the seller's language and don't want him to be the one explaining what the paperwork says.
• You know cars, but not this market — the Belgian technical inspection, the Dutch APK and the German TÜV say different things and read differently.
• The car looks too good for the price and you want to know why — before you find out after the purchase.

What it costs

Travel: the first 50 km of driving (round trip) is included. Above that — €0.57 per kilometre, measured by road from our Antwerp base and counting both directions. You see the full amount before you confirm the order, never after.

All prices include 21% VAT. We inspect within a 400 km radius of Antwerp; beyond that — individual quote.

How the inspection works, step by step

The timeline from order to report — exactly how we do it at every car.

1. 1

   You send the listing link

   Or the address where the car stands — if it is a private sale with no online listing. You tell us when you need it. We work out the full price including travel and send it for your approval. You pay nothing until you know the amount.

2. 2

   We schedule with the seller

   We call in his language. This is the step that usually takes the longest and the only one we do not fully control — which is why your panel shows every contact attempt with date and time. From the moment the seller confirms a time, we guarantee the inspection within 48 hours.

3. 3

   We arrive and start with a cold engine

   We ask the seller not to start the car before we arrive. A cold start shows things a warm engine no longer will: knocks, smoke, delayed ignition, turbo noise. If the car is warm when we arrive, the report notes it — because that is information in itself.

   Body and paint

   With a paint-thickness gauge we measure eight metal panels: bonnet, all four doors, both rear wings and the tailgate. The front bumper is plastic, and a metal-film gauge cannot read plastic — we assess it visually and the report states it was not measured, instead of inventing a value. A factory coat has a characteristic range; a value outside it means filler, a respray or a replaced panel. Every measurement goes into the report as a number in micrometres, not as an opinion. Plus panel gaps, paint traces on the seals, repair traces in the engine bay.

   Engine, drivetrain and underbody

   Leaks from above and below, oil and coolant condition, exhaust smoke, idle stability, battery condition, gearbox behaviour. We inspect the underbody for corrosion and impact traces — the place where the history the listing does not mention is most often visible.

   Test drive

   Not a lap around the block. We check steering play, suspension behaviour over bumps, brake feel and the handbrake, damper performance, gear changes under load. We measure tread depth on all four wheels and brake-pad condition.

   Interior, electronics and documents

   The dashboard and its warnings, seats, air conditioning, glass and mirrors, multimedia, seat heating, seat belts, all lights. Plus OBD computer diagnostics — stored and cleared codes, because an error memory freshly wiped right before a sale is information in itself. Finally the paperwork: registration document, vehicle card, COC certificate, service book, next inspection date, second set of keys.

   The report the same or the next day

   Written, in your language, with full photo documentation and all measurements. With a score and a one-sentence verdict — including the one you do not want to read. We do not advise you to buy. We describe the condition and give you the numbers on which you decide yourself.

You receive it within 24–48 hours of the inspection, in your language — English, Polish, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian or Latvian. As a PDF, by e-mail and in your customer panel.

• The inspector's summary — what is going on with this car, in a few sentences, at the top. Not on page twelve.
• A score and a verdict — one number and one sentence you can come back to a week later.
• Every measurement as a number — paint in micrometres on eight metal panels, tread in millimetres on four wheels, brakes in per cent.
• Full photo documentation — the car as the inspector found it. Not the seller's photos.
• The OBD scan result — stored and historical fault codes.
• The state of the paperwork — what is there, what is missing, what does not add up.
• With the €242 package (incl. VAT): the full vehicle history — mileage records, damage, theft, owner count, registration countries.

The report is yours. Show it to the seller, use it in the price negotiation or keep it in case of a dispute. It stays in your panel and does not disappear.

What the travel costs

We set out from our base in Antwerp (Uitbreidingstraat 510, 2600 Berchem). The first 50 kilometres of driving — 25 km each way — are included in the package. Above that you pay €0.57 per kilometre (incl. VAT), measured by road and counting both directions.

Why an independent inspector

We are not a dealership and not a garage. We are not selling this car, we take no commission from the seller and we earn nothing from the transaction going through. Only the buyer pays us, and that is the only reason the report tells the truth.

The seller can show you an expert opinion too. The difference is that his expert opinion was ordered by him.
