What exactly does a used car inspection cover?

asked by Sarah on

I'm buying a six-year-old car from the Netherlands. What's the scope – just a visual check, or do you actually measure things?

The Full inspection takes about 1.5–2 hours on site and covers 50+ checkpoints: body and paint, engine and drivetrain, suspension, brakes, interior and electronics, and documents. It also includes OBD diagnostics, a test drive and full photo documentation.

We measure rather than just look: paint thickness on 10 metal panels, tread depth in millimetres and brake wear on all four wheels. The vehicle history by VIN is in the €278.30 price.

The PDF report arrives within 24–48 hours in your language. The full checklist is in the guide to what's included, and here is a sample report.
