Who pays the inspector, and are you really independent of the seller?

asked by Sarah on

I worry that a recommended inspector might be working with the seller. Who pays you, and do you sell cars?

The buyer pays, and only the buyer. We take no commission from sellers, no referral fees from dealers and no payment from a marketplace in exchange for a favourable report. That is the only reason the report can say what it says.

We are not a garage or a dealer: we don't sell cars, don't repair them and are not party to the transaction we inspect. We're based in Antwerp, publish our terms and take payments through Stripe.

Your cost is €278.30, with nothing arranged on the seller's side. How we differ from society inspections is in TÜV/DEKRA vs independent, and you can order on the inspection page.
